Original Hardware

Designed specifically for an original Capcom 1942 arcade PCB.

Add Permanent Score Saving to Your Original 1942 Arcade PCB

Original 1942 arcade hardware does not retain high scores after the machine is powered off. This kit adds battery-free score storage while continuing to use the original Capcom PCB, Z80 processor, controls, sound hardware, and game program.

The kit displays the five highest scores during normal gameplay and stores up to 25 scores. It also adds Free Play, adjustable settings, multiple score tables, attract-mode options, backup and restore functions, and a practice-oriented God Mode.

This is not an emulator, replacement game board, or multigame system. The original 1942 gameplay remains unchanged.

Included Features

  • Free Play Mode: Play without coins while retaining optional coin operation.
  • Permanent High Score Saving: Battery-free EEPROM storage retains scores after power is turned off.
  • Top Score Tracking: Displays the Top 5 scores and stores up to 25 scores.
  • On-Screen Settings Menu: Adjust supported game options from the control panel after installation.

Standard and Optional Wi-Fi Kits

The Standard Kit permanently saves scores and settings locally on the installed arcade PCB. It does not require an internet connection.

The optional Wi-Fi Enabled Kit includes the same local score-saving features and can also submit qualifying scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard after a player enters their initials.

Wi-Fi-enabled kits connect to compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay.

Does the kit change the original 1942 gameplay?
