The HighScoreSaves 1943 Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades a compatible original Capcom 1943 arcade PCB with permanent high score saving, Free Play, configurable game settings, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support while retaining the original arcade hardware and gameplay.
1943 Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a 40-pin socket before the kit can be used.

What's Included
Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores and settings locally on the installed arcade PCB. No internet connection is required.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local score-saving features and can also submit qualifying scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
1943 Kit FAQ
How do I enter the 1943 kit settings menu?
Hold Player 1 Start for approximately 4 seconds while turning on the cabinet. The settings menu video above shows the available options and controls.
Are scores earned in God Mode saved?
No. God Mode is intended for practice and scores earned while it is active are not saved.
What does ROM Saver do on the 1943 kit?
ROM Saver supports removal of designated original program ROMs. Refer to the 1943 installation guide for the specific ROM locations and installation procedure.
Will the Wi-Fi kit still save scores if Wi-Fi is disabled?
Yes. Local score saving and normal gameplay continue to work when Wi-Fi is disabled or unavailable.
