Braze Frogger Free Play and High Score Save Kit
Upgrade a compatible original Frogger arcade PCB and board stack with the Braze Technologies Frogger Kit, adding True Free Play, permanent Top 5 score and initials saving, automatic power-on diagnostics, on-screen settings, and expanded hardware test functions.
The Braze daughterboard installs through the original Frogger CPU socket and uses the original compatible processor. Because Frogger uses a stacked PCB assembly, installation may require additional board disassembly and spacer changes to provide proper daughterboard clearance.

Start Frogger without inserting coins while retaining the normal Frogger attract sequence.
Permanently saves the five highest scores and three-letter player initials.
Saved scores and initials do not require a backup battery.
Adds an on-screen interface for entering three-letter player initials.
Runs the documented automatic diagnostic test when the game is powered on.
Adjust supported game options and clear the saved score table through the on-screen menu.
Provides documented tests for music, sound effects, sprites, characters, and color maps.
Uses gold-plated machined header pins on the Braze daughterboard.
Frogger Board-Stack and Spacer Requirements
Braze Frogger Installation Overview
Turn off and unplug the arcade cabinet before removing the Frogger board set.
Follow the installation guide to reach the original processor location.
Rearrange or replace spacers as required to provide clearance for the installed daughterboard.
Carefully remove the original compatible processor from its socket on the Frogger CPU board.
Insert the processor with the correct Pin 1 orientation shown in the current installation guide.
Install the assembled Braze board into the original processor socket.
Verify that the daughterboard does not touch the adjacent PCB and that all spacers are secure.
Recheck processor orientation, daughterboard alignment, cables, board spacers, and PCB clearance before restoring cabinet power.
On-Screen Settings and Diagnostic Functions
The Braze Frogger kit provides an on-screen settings menu for supported game options and high score table clearing.
Its expanded test mode includes documented tests for music, sound effects, sprites, characters, and color maps. An automatic diagnostic test also runs when the game is powered on.

Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the original processor is already installed in a compatible socket. A soldered processor must be properly removed and the correct socket installed before the kit can be fitted.
Why might the Frogger board spacers need to be changed?
The Braze daughterboard adds height at the processor location. Rearranging or replacing spacers can provide the additional clearance required between the stacked Frogger boards.
What does the expanded test mode check?
The documented Braze test mode includes checks for music, sound effects, sprites, characters, and color maps.
Does the Braze Frogger kit offer HighScoreSaves Wi-Fi uploading?
No. The Braze Frogger product is not currently offered as a HighScoreSaves Wi-Fi Enabled kit. Choose the HighScoreSaves Frogger product if optional online score uploading is required.
