Robby Roto | Wizard of Wor Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit

Product information "Robby Roto | Wizard of Wor Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit"

Robby Roto | Wizard of Wor Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit

Upgrade a compatible original Bally/Midway Robby Roto PCB stack with Robby Roto and Wizard of Wor gameplay, Free Play, permanent high score saving, configurable game settings, attract sounds, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support.

This particular multigame kit is designed for the Robby Roto hardware configuration. The HighScoreSaves Z80 daughter card installs on the original CPU board while the compatible Bally/Midway board stack remains the operating arcade hardware.

Wizard of Wor is included as a supported game within this Robby Roto-based multigame configuration. The kit does not convert the cabinet to a generic multicade, replacement JAMMA board, or software-emulation platform.

Robby Roto PCB Required • 2 Games • Z80 Daughter Card • Permanent Scores • Free Play • Optional Wi-Fi

Choose Your Robby Roto Multigame Configuration

Choose a Standard Save Kit for local high score and settings storage or a Wi-Fi Enabled Kit that also supports qualifying online leaderboard score submission.

A compatible Z80 processor is required on the daughter card. An existing compatible Z80 may be reused, or a replacement processor may be selected when ordering.

The documented CPU location must use a compatible 40-pin socket. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the board, a suitable socket must be installed before fitting the multigame daughter card.

Robby Roto and Wizard of Wor Included

Robby Roto

Robby Roto runs on the compatible original Bally/Midway hardware used as the base platform for this multigame installation. The kit permanently saves the Top 21 Robby Roto scores, with separate supported score tables based on difficulty.

Wizard of Wor

Wizard of Wor is included as the second supported game and permanently saves the Top 5 Wizard of Wor scores, with separate supported score tables according to the selected lives setting.

Because this version runs from the Robby Roto hardware configuration, Wizard of Wor does not include the original starfield background, sparkle effect, or speech. These are hardware-related limitations of this configuration rather than selectable settings.

Robby Roto and Wizard of Wor High Score Tables

The two games use different permanent score-table structures. Robby Roto saves the Top 21 scores and maintains supported separate tables based on difficulty.

Wizard of Wor saves the Top 5 scores and maintains supported separate tables based on the selected number of lives. This keeps scores earned under different supported gameplay configurations from being combined into one table.

Robby Roto Multigame Settings Menu

With the cabinet powered off, press and hold Player 1 Start. Continue holding Player 1 Start while powering the cabinet on, then release the button when prompted on screen.

The settings menu provides access to supported game options, DIP-style settings, attract sounds, score functions, startup behavior, Stealth Mode, Reset configuration, and other kit-specific settings.

Standard Save Kit vs. Wi-Fi Enabled Kit

The Standard Save Kit permanently stores supported scores and settings locally and does not require an internet connection for normal gameplay, Free Play, game selection, menu operation, or local high score saving.

The Wi-Fi Enabled Kit includes the same local functionality and adds qualifying online score submission to the HighScoreSaves leaderboard.

Robby Roto Multigame Kit FAQ

Which original PCB does this multigame kit require?

This version requires compatible original Robby Roto hardware. The installation guide specifically identifies the Robby Roto PCB as the required base platform.

Which games are included?

The kit includes Robby Roto and Wizard of Wor using the compatible Robby Roto hardware configuration.

How many high scores are saved?

Robby Roto saves the Top 21 scores while Wizard of Wor saves the Top 5 scores.

Why does Wizard of Wor look and sound different on this kit?

Wizard of Wor runs within the capabilities of the Robby Roto hardware used by this configuration. The starfield background, sparkle effect, and speech are therefore not available.

Does the original memory board remain in the board stack?

No. In the documented multigame arrangement, slot 2 remains empty because the original memory board is no longer required.
