This plug-in daughterboard continues to use the original arcade PCB, processor, controls, video hardware, sound hardware, game timing, and authentic gameplay. It does not replace the original board with an emulation or multicade system.

Before Ordering: Confirm that your machine contains documented compatible original Stern Berzerk or Frenzy arcade hardware. The kit installs at the documented 40-pin Z80 processor location. No soldering is required when that location already has a compatible socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible socket before the kit can be used.

Opening the Kit Menu

During attract mode, hold Player 1 Start for approximately four seconds to open the supported game-selection and settings menu.

Important Installation Notes

The kit installs at the documented 40-pin Z80 processor location. The original Z80 is transferred to the daughterboard unless a compatible processor option is selected.

No soldering is required when the Z80 location already has a compatible 40-pin socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must remove it and install a compatible socket before the kit can be used.

Confirm that your machine contains documented compatible original Stern Berzerk or Frenzy arcade hardware. Review the installation guide, verify Pin 1 orientation, and inspect all processor pins before restoring cabinet power.

Standard and Wi-Fi-enabled kits both save supported scores and settings locally. The Wi-Fi version also uploads qualifying scores after initials are entered. Local score storage continues to operate when Wi-Fi is disabled or unavailable.
