This HighScoreSaves kit installs at the documented Z80 processor location on compatible original Nintendo hardware. It is an original-PCB upgrade rather than a replacement JAMMA board, reproduction PCB, generic multicade, or software-emulation system.

Top 5 High Score Saving and Initials
The kit stores the Top 5 supported Radar Scope scores with player initials using serial EEPROM storage. No battery is required to retain supported high-score data.
Initials entry supports up to eight characters, allowing longer player identification than a traditional three-character arcade score entry.
Free Play and Coin-Up Operation
Free Play allows Radar Scope to start without inserting coins while traditional Coin-Up operation remains available for cabinets that continue to use quarters, tokens, or the original coin-door controls.
Radar Scope Installation Requirements
- Original PCB: Designed for documented compatible original Nintendo Radar Scope arcade PCBs
- Z80 Processor: A compatible Z80 processor is required
- 40-Pin Socket: The documented Z80 CPU location must use a compatible 40-pin socket
- Already Socketed: No soldering, trace cutting, special wiring, or permanent PCB modification is required when the processor location is already properly socketed
- Soldered CPU: If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before fitting the kit
- ROM Saver: Remove only the designated original program ROMs identified in the installation guide
- Before Power-Up: Verify Pin 1 orientation, socket condition, daughterboard seating, ROM locations, and processor-pin alignment
Standard Save Kit vs. Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
A Standard Save Kit stores supported scores and settings locally. Wi-Fi is not required for normal Radar Scope gameplay, Free Play, Coin-Up operation, local score saving, menu settings, ROM Saver, or Backup and Restore.
A Wi-Fi Enabled Kit adds qualifying online score submission to the HighScoreSaves global leaderboard while retaining local score saving.
